SpeedPaint

Speed painting is an artistic technique where the artist has a limited time to finish their piece. Today speed painting is also referred to creating a piece in one sitting sped up and set to music.artist also do this to test their skill and show it off it can also be good practice.

For my speed paint i want to create a motorcycle with a desert background and a small city/town.in the distance.

Because i'm not the best at drawing i wanted to test out a few methods of drawing the motorcycle

I started by grabbing a silhouette of a motorcycle and add the detail on-top on a new layer

I started by drawing on the tank with a nice red.Then did the front and back mudguards in the same colour then adding a low opacity white for a light shining down onto the bike.after that i went on to the spokes. Then i took hid the silhouette layer and drew the handlebars and the seat on.

Once i had done all of that i wanted to paint in the tires so for that i found a picture of a tire and used the colour to paint in the tires.

i didn't finish it because i wanted to try to do it free hand using the same silhouette as a reference to work from using a grid.

This is my motorcycle sketch it doesn't look exactly like the silhouette but its not mean't to.If you asked me to do this at the start of this course it wouldn't happen but as I've gone though this course i have become better at drawing/painting . I have never painted using a graphics tablet in Photoshop which is a nice skill to learn and i'm finding it very fun. The only issue i had was doing the the tires because i couldn't get it too look how i wanted it to.
